Why Dethatch?
Thatch is a layer of dead grass, roots and other small lawn debris between the top growth of your grass and the roots. Thatch acts like a barrier to your lawn, preventing essential moisture, air, and nutrients from entering your lawn's root system. Removing this layer (Dethatching) helps your lawn's root system prosper. If you plan to seed, dethatching is an important step that should not be overlooked before spreading. Seed will often take root in thatch rather than the soil, and will die out quickly due to insufficient access to nutrients and water.

Please Note: The CMP 3 Point Dethatcher is designed for use with standard compact utility tractors with the 3pt arms in the lowest position, a minimum of 11" from the ground. Aftermarket or oversized tires may affect this height, please verify your lowest lift arm height before placing an order. Dethatchers do not include top link pin or safety pins to retain attachments on the tractor.
Assembly was not too easy but doable with help. Dethatcher works but found it doesn't quite reach the ground if the ground is not perfectly level. The prongs could be a little longer and maybe have a small bend at the end to hook the thatch better.
Very solid implement for my compact. Used it on 3 acres without any issues besides I had a lot of dead grass to pick up after with a lawn sweeper. Very happy with the purchase!
This has been such a great addition to my growing list of attachments. I have used it on the lawn and it has done wonders for the yard. I also have used it on a freshly dug pond to help groom around the damn, and it did amazing. I’ve also used it on my gravel driveway and it did great on smoothing it out and filling in pot holes. This is definitely worth the money and the time to assemble it. Would 10/10 recommend this
This is built very well, and only took a short time to assemble. It works great at de-thatching the grass and also clean up work. It also works good for maintaining my driveway. It also arrived very quickly.
